This is an individual health plan that covers employees or domestic workers with a gross monthly salary of up to AED 4,000. The plan is fully compliant with the mandatory health insurance requirements applicable to Dubai visa holders.

DMed

This policy covers the non-working dependents and parents of employed individuals. It complies with the mandatory health insurance requirements for Dubai visa holders.

IMed

This medical insurance plan is designed for investors in the UAE.

NEMed

Orient Medical Insurance has a standard health plan for visa holders in the Northern Emirates region (Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain). It covers employees with a monthly salary of up to AED 15,000, along with their spouses and children.

Family Care Plan

A fixed sum assured covers more than one family member for a single annual premium. This plan provides protection for two or more family members in the event of hospitalisation or if any disease is diagnosed.

Health Plus

This plan offers international coverage to all family members for a single annual premium. It is administered by Nextcare. All the residents of the UAE are eligible for this plan.

What is Covered Under Orient Medical Insurance?

Orient Health Insurance UAE provides the following benefits to its policyholders under various plans.

1 - EMed

Hospital accommodation

Hospital services – Surgery, anaesthesia, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and theatre.

Network – Nextcare PCP (for outpatient clinic services); Nextcare RN3 (hospitals for inpatient and emergency services).

Pre-existing medical conditions covered after a waiting period of 6 months at the time of first membership.

Outpatient services – 20% co insurance payable by the insured

Geographical coverage – UAE and native country.

Annual medical limit – AED 150,000

Preventive Services, vaccines, and immunizations.

Maternity Benefits – Covered after a six-month waiting period from the date of the first membership.

Pharmacy – AED 1,500 per annum (including co-insurance of 30%)

2 - DMed

Annual Medical Limit – AED 150,000

Geographical Coverage – UAE and Home Country.

What is Not Covered Under Orient Medical Insurance?

Expenses related to dental treatment, dental prostheses, and orthodontic treatment.

Cosmetic healthcare services and treatment for obesity.

Healthcare services that are not performed by authorised service providers.

Healthcare for the sake of travelling.

Custodial care that includes (i) non-medical treatments and (ii) healthcare services that do not improve a patient’s medical condition.

Treatments and services arising as a result of professional sports activities.

Health services and expenses related to organ & tissue transplants.

Mental health diseases, unless it’s a case of medical emergency.

Any inpatient treatment that can be treated on an outpatient basis without adversely affecting the patient’s health.

Healthcare services for smoking cessation programs and treatment for nicotine addiction.
