The e-visa system is a convenient platform that allows foreign nationals to apply for a visa without visiting the Malaysian embassy or consulate. Citizens of select countries including India, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal are eligible to apply for a tourist e-visa.
Note: Chinese nationals are exempted from visa requirements for tourist purposes (single-entry visa) until December 31, 2026. Similarly, Indian nationals are also exempted until December 31, 2024.
